Name the kitten contest

Kitten's favorite activities include pouncing on anything that does or doesn't move (partial to feet), looking behind the mirror for evil twin, chasing his tail, and falling asleep on your keyboard or textbook while you are trying to work. He reminds me a bit of Peekaboo from the comic strip Rose is Rose. Current names under consideration:
  1. Hamlet
  2. Oberon
  3. Agent Orange
  4. Westlaw
  5. Puck
  6. Tango
  7. The Snort
  8. Lexis
  9. Darcy
  10. Cheeto
  11. Jefferson
  12. Quincy
  13. Mephibosheth
  14. Caffeine
  15. Neko (Japanese for "cat")

That is the cutest picture of him ever!

He's a charmer, isn't he? I like him even when he's trying to gnaw my arm off.

From Renee on Facebook: Lexis, or Lexi for short.

Becca's comment: Cute. It fits him well, but all the people I've known named Lexis or Lexi are girls. I'm afraid he might get a complex. I'll take it under advisement.

From Aunt Rhonda: Darcy, as in Pride and Prejudice

Becca's comment: Hmmm... He is a little bit (but only a little) dignified, and he's definitely handsome, even next to Colin Firth... He might could grow into that one...

I kind of like "Darcy."

Agent Orange or The Snort...

I vote Tango or The Snort. :-)

Chad suggested Jefferson or Quincy after it was realized that his white bib makes him look a bit like a founding father.

anonymous--LOL. He does remind one of a cheeto.

I think you should name him Mephibosheth--not that he's the son of a king or a cripple--I just like the name :D

That's a long name for such a short kitty.

Awwww, he is SO cute! I'm definitely going to have to come visit you now! :) As for names, all I think when I see him is "Ned", which is the name of my boyfriend's cat who looks almost exactly like him. As for the names you listed, I like Puck or Cheeto. Both convey a sense of humor and mischief.

I think you should name him bar, for the "bars" on his legs. It fits the law thing doesn't it?

He looks more to me like Mr. Astrophy, first name Cat.

Love, Dad

Heh. He's only cat-astrophic when he's playing jungle kitty in the houseplants. But the spray bottle is doing wonders, and he's just too funny to get mad at.

New suggestion: Maestro. When he pulls back to pounce on something with paws splayed he kinda looks like he's conducting. And that white bib looks so much like a tux shirt.

Ok, need to settle on something soon. "The Cat" is getting old.
